Glaucoma Changes Scheme
Gathercole & Ward works in conjunction with Hinchingbrooke Hospital to provide the CHANGES (Community and Hinchingbrooke Allied Network Glaucoma Evaluation) scheme. Patients who are suspected of having glaucoma, Changes 1, are evaluated in the practice by our Optometrists with a Special Interest (OSI) in Glaucoma before either seeing a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Hinchingbrooke Hospital or being discharged to their own Optometrist. Patients with stable glaucoma, Changes 2, will be seen by our OSIs to monitor their condition, reducing the need to visit the hospital.
Changes 1 & 2 is available at the Huntingdon practice and Changes 1 at Ramsey practice.
